In my testing, the Venty hit 356 °F (180 °C) in just 18 seconds and 410 °F (210 °C) in 21 seconds with a full battery. At 390 °F (199 °C), it averaged 23 seconds, ranging from 19 to 33 seconds depending on battery level and ambient conditions.

Like other S&B vaporizers, the vapor is rich and thick from the very first hit—no weak starter draws. This kind of speed and performance makes the Venty an ideal choice for quick, flavorful sessions without the wait.

The Venty vaporizer works best with herb loads under 0.25 grams. Its heating chamber—identical in size and shape to the ovens in the Crafty+ and Mighty+—will feel instantly familiar to seasoned Storz & Bickel users. But unlike those vapes, the Venty features a unique bottom hole pattern that boosts airflow performance.

It’s also compatible with S&B’s dosing capsules, making it easy to swap loads on the go or control dosing with precision.

You could pack up to 0.35 grams if you compress the herbs, but you’ll likely sacrifice flavor and vapor density. I’ve found the sweet spot to be a loose fill between 0.15 and 0.25 grams—just enough for the Venty’s hybrid heating to shine and push out thick, tasty vapor.

One of my favorite touches: the Venty doesn’t rely on a standard session timer that cuts off after five minutes (thank god!). Instead, it monitors your activity and automatically powers down after a couple minutes of inactivity. That means it stays on as long as you’re using it—no premature shutdowns mid-session.

On my test bench, I ran 14 full sessions at 390 °F before the battery gave out. Each session averaged four minutes and seven long draws, totaling 55 minutes of runtime and 97 hits on a single charge.

The battery meter was surprisingly accurate—unlike many other vapes I’ve tested. I consistently got two to three sessions per bar, and when the battery read 50%, I had completed about half my sessions. That level of reliability is rare and appreciated.

You’re never far from a recharge with the Venty dry herb vaporizer’s USB-C charging. Charge times depend on your setup, but with the optional Supercharger, you can cut the wait down to just 45 minutes.

Just turn it on, set your temp (104 °F – 410 °F / 40 °C – 210 °C), and vape when it’s ready. No learning curve required.

The screen displays only what matters: temperature, battery level, and Bluetooth status. It’s orange during heat-up, green when ready, and blue when powered off. It also vibrates when you turn it on/off and when it reaches temp—no guesswork.

The power button sits alone on the side and only needs a single press to turn on. (A refreshing change from the 5-click schemes many other vapes use.) The “+” and “–” buttons adjust the temperature, and pressing them together toggles between Celsius and Fahrenheit.

The Venty also makes temp-stepping easy with Boost and Superboost modes. A double-press of the power button increases the temp by 27 °F (from 356 °F to 383 °F), and another double-press pushes it to 410 °F. After 90 seconds, it reverts back to your default temperature—unless you change that in the web app.

I use Boost and Superboost all the time and love them. I just wish the Venty stayed at those temps instead of dropping back down automatically. The good news? You can tweak all of this in the web app to suit your style.

Venty Vaporizer Web App: Bluetooth Customization Made Easy

The Storz & Bickel web app isn’t essential—but it’s a nice bonus if you want more control over your Venty vaporizer. You can tweak a handful of features to personalize your sessions and improve long-term battery health.

I connected the Venty to my Windows PC via Bluetooth with no issues. I also tried it on my iPhone in a browser—worked perfectly. Android users won’t find updated Venty features in the native S&B app, but the web app works just fine for them too.

Here’s what you can do in the web app:

• Adjust Boost and Superboost temps: Set how much each double-press increases the temperature. Defaults are 27 °F (15 °C), but you can go higher or lower.
• Enable or disable vibration: Turn off haptic feedback if it’s not your thing.
• Optimize battery life: Limit charging to 90% and slow down the charge rate—even with the Supercharger. These options can reduce long-term battery wear.
• Change LED brightness: Use a slider to dim or brighten the screen to your liking.
• Advanced options: Disable blinking lights, check total runtime, update firmware, reset to factory settings, and control onboard functions remotely.

Venty Vaporizer Build Quality: Durable, Medical-Grade Design

I love how the Venty vaporizer feels in my hand. Its industrial styling gives it a serious, no-nonsense vibe. It’s a bit taller than I’d prefer, but the weight is spot-on—not too heavy, not too light. The slightly tapered bottom half fits the natural shape of my grip perfectly.

I even reached out to S&B to ask if a certified version of the Venty was on the way—but they couldn’t confirm or deny.

Either way, the Venty is one of the safest dry herb vaporizers you can buy. It’s made from materials that won’t degrade or contaminate the vapor path and carries electrical certifications including UL 8139 and IEC 60335-1—the latter being specific to vaporizers.

Is the Venty Vaporizer Portable? Big but Pocketable

The Venty vaporizer is a little taller and wider than the original Mighty, and when I first saw it, I thought it might be too bulky. But after a couple of months of use, it feels smaller than it looks. It’s noticeably narrower than the Mighty, which helps it slide into pockets more easily.

Will it fit in tight jeans? Probably not. But I had no problem carrying it in the front pocket of my sweatpants or khaki shorts. For its power, it’s surprisingly manageable.

What I Didn’t Like About the Venty Vaporizer

The Venty vaporizer hits a lot of highs, but no vaporizer is perfect. Here’s my short list of complaints—none of which are dealbreakers, but worth knowing.

• It’s big. When Storz & Bickel looked to improve the Mighty, they added faster heat-up time and better airflow—which is great—but also made it taller. Why? If you want something smaller, the Crafty+ is your best bet.

• Boost and Superboost return to baseline too quickly. The 90-second timer resets the temp after boosting. I’d rather stay at that higher temp until I say otherwise. A future firmware update or web app setting could fix this.
• It’s expensive — $449. That makes it the most expensive portable vaporizer on the market—more than some desktops. The value is there, but the price is still steep.
• The cooling unit sits slightly misaligned when tightened. It doesn’t impact performance at all, but every unit I’ve tested had this slight skew. On a $449 vape, I expected tighter tolerances.
