Auravia Medical has launched the UK’s first medical cannabis scheme specifically designed for patients on NHS waiting lists, promising priority access to specialist care while waiting for NHS appointments.
The online clinic has a team of 10 specialist clinicians who treat pain, mental health, and neurological conditions. Patients can access the waitlist service by sharing their NHS referral letter, which grants them reduced monthly clinic fees of £30 for six months – half the standard rate – and priority booking with the clinical team.
As well as prescribing medical cannabis, Auravia will provide conventional private prescriptions to ensure patients receive integrated care. The clinic encourages patients to remain on NHS waiting lists while proactively managing their symptoms online through private care. “Your health can’t wait,” said Dr Arun Bhaskar, Auravia Medical’s lead consultant for pain. “Our clinicians are here to listen, to support, and to help you take control of your health, without any long delays before receiving help.”
Alongside the waitlist scheme, Auravia has relaunched the popular Grow Access Project (GAP). The scheme offers 10% off all brands of cannabis medications prescribed via Pharmacy Space, and reduced clinic membership fees of £30 for six months.

GAP is available to patients on benefits, UK veterans, university students over 18, and those with a Blue Light Card. The scheme can be redeemed by all medical cannabis at any clinic that works with Pharmacy Space.
Auravia also announced that it will become the first UK medical cannabis clinic to offer Patient Protect, a new initiative providing legal guidance and advocacy for patients. The service, created by Robert Jappie of Fieldfisher and Alex Fraser, patient access lead at GROW Group UK, ensures patients’ rights and access to treatment are fully supported.
Patients interested in signing up with Auravia can use a free online eligibility checker on the clinic’s website to determine whether they qualify for medical cannabis treatment. Individual appointments cost £35, while six-month packages of clinic fees are available for £60, or £30 for GAP participants, waitlist patients and those switching from another cannabis clinic.
